Imagine It! Children’s Museum: Atlanta, GA

Yes, I’ve been to a few children’s museums!  BUT, I was extremely impressed with the Imagine It! Children’s Museum in Atlanta, GA.  What they lack in actual square footage, they make up for in their creative use of the space they do have.  Several play spaces in the DMV could learn a thing or two from them!  RJ spent the first hour playing with every part of this contraption starting with this conveyor belt:

and another 30 minutes with this part that loads balls using this thingy:

and finally, finding several of the balls on this side in the water.  We had to literally pull him away to explore the rest of the place!

and this is just the FIRST contraption you see upon entering the museum.  There were sandboxes, train tables, rainforest with waterplay,

…drumming (complete with your image projected into a video with real drummers), dancing (with tap shoes!), painting, and a dress up area.  There was an entire themed section relating to Timbuktu:

If I lived in Atlanta, I would surely get a membership!  Looking forward to going back so we can see the rest of it!

Have you been to Imagine It! in ATL?  What did you think?

I randomly found your blog post, although it wasn’t what I was in search of, I’m genuinely interested by your design. I’d like to get the name, or in case it is customized, the designer. I have been looking for a similar theme for my personal web site for a time.
